Job summary

Sky Italia is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead customer analytics, personalization, and NLP initiatives. You will work with large-scale data across content and interactions to develop ML solutions that improve customer experience and support business decisions.

You will partner with data engineers, ML engineers, and stakeholders, apply NLP and generative AI techniques, and stay current with GCP and cloud analytics best practices.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (CS/Stats/Math/Engineering/Physics/Economics).
• Solid experience with machine learning, statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and data-driven decisioning.
• Ability to structure analytical problems and deliver practical solutions in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries for analysis, modelling, and experimentation.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Proficiency with Git for version control, collaboration, and reproducible workflows.
• Good business acumen and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with customer analytics, personalization, recommendation systems, next-best-action or next-best-offer models is highly desirable.
• Experience with topic modelling, generative AI applications and Agentic Frameworks is a strong plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP) and scalable data environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in Italian and English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify objectives, and translate business questions into analytical approaches.
• Contribute to end-to-end data science projects from problem framing to model deployment and evaluation.
• Develop ML and analytics solutions for customer analytics, personalization, recommendations, next-best-action, and next-best-offer use cases.

Position:DataScientist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist to contribute to data science initiatives focused on customer analytics, personalization, recommendation systems, next-best-action strategies, and NLP/text analytics. In this role, you will work with large-scale customer, product, content, and interaction data to develop machine learning and advanced analytics solutions that improve customer experience, support business decision‑making, increase operational efficiency. You will collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders across the full lifecycle of data science projects, from problem framing and exploration to model development, deployment support, monitoring, and impact assessment.

What you will do:

• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify objectives, and translate business questions into analytical approaches.

Your profile:

What we offer:

Under the Private Radio and Television Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), the salary starts from €40.000. Contract Type: Permanent. The final compensation package will be based on the candidate’s experience and specific skills. This position is also eligible for the annual incentive scheme.
