Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Data Scientist III for the Community Intelligence Science & Engineering team. You will design production ML forecasting systems, build AI-powered analytics platforms, and translate complex insights for senior leadership.

The role requires collaboration across Last Mile, Middle Mile, and WW Ops teams to identify opportunities where community intelligence multiplies business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical software experience.
• 4+ years of data scientist experience.
• Experience with multinomial logistic regression or similar statistical models.
• AWS tech stack knowledge (Redshift, S3, EC2, Glue).
• Experience collaborating with scientists, economists, software developers, or product managers.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy production ML forecasting systems with extended prediction horizons.
• Build AI-powered analytics platforms processing large volumes of unstructured data.
• Collaborate with operational science teams to integrate insights into models.
• Develop causal discovery systems using knowledge graphs, LLMs, and document understanding.
• Develop NLP and GenAI apps for event detection, sentiment analysis, and multilingual insight synthesis.
• Partner with engineering to productionize models using AWS services.
• Mentor junior scientists and foster a research culture.
• Author internal and external scientific publications and documents.
