Job summary

Amazon Inc. seeks a Data Scientist for Alexa Connections to lead end-to-end ML solutions powering intelligent communications across channels such as calling, messaging and email.

You will translate ambiguous problems into scalable models and experimentation frameworks. You will partner with product, engineering, and business leaders, design and deploy models for prioritization, intent detection, and proactive recommendations, run A/B tests and causal analyses, and mentor analysts to raise data

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data scientist experience.
• Experience with SQL querying and Python scripting.
• Strong ML and statistical modeling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, operations, and security teams to translate complex business problems into scalable ML solutions.
• Own the full lifecycle of model development, including exploration, design, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
• Define success metrics and provide insights to guide product launches and feature decisions.
• Build data-driven business cases to prioritize science initiatives and demonstrate impact.
• Develop ML-powered systems supporting key business areas.
• Lead research to understand customer interactions and enhance experience.
• Mentor analysts and contribute to data workflows and tooling.
