Job summary

team.blue is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to develop and maintain our central data ecosystem, extracting maximum strategic value from global data assets. You will own, scale, and govern data platforms that serve as the single source of truth for 60+ sub-brands and AI initiatives.

You will lead design of secure, cost-efficient architectures, implement governance, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Analytics, ML, and AI teams to deliver high-performance data products.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering or data management.
• Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, STEM, or related quantitative field.
• Track record deploying stable, high-performance data solutions that drive measurable value.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.

Responsibilities

• Data Platform Ownership: Own, manage, continuously optimize our Data Infrastructure including Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Gitlab & AWS.
• Data Product Innovation: Design and deliver high-quality, scalable data products that provide a unified source of truth across 60+ global sub-brands.
• Pipeline Engineering: Build and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines for massive data volumes with low latency.
• Architectural Leadership: Lead secure, cost-efficient data architectures and enforce best practices in data modeling and observability.
• Governance & Integrity: Implement data governance, lineage tracking, metadata management, and quality controls.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Analytics, ML, and AI teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Platform Optimization: Tune data platforms for indexing, query performance, and schema evolution.
• Mentorship: Elevate team skills and foster technical excellence.
