Amazon is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead multi-discipline data center construction programs across EMEA. You will manage General Contractors on one or more sites, oversee civil, structural, architectural, electrical and mechanical scopes, and ensure timely delivery within safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include contract administration, bid evaluation, cost control, schedule reporting and risk management.

Competenze

• 7+ years of recent experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.
• (Senior Services Manager across schemes in excess of £100 million)
• Understand mechanical and electrical engineering principles including breaker coordination studies, switch-gear sequence of operations, local electrical codes.
• General contractor and vendor management experience (request for proposals, bidding, change orders) associated with construction and project execution.
• 5+ years’ experience in construction of and interface with live operational/mission critical facilities e.g. data centers energy plants, infrastructure projects.

Mansioni

• Manage General Contractors on one or more data center construction sites, including oversight and review of all disciplines including civil, structural, architectural electrical, mechanical, controls and commissioning.
• Undertake strategic and tactical commercial management of construction contracts, including managing the commercial administration of contracts to ensure compliance.
• Inspect and review construction work including site safety, project quality control, support of the commissioning process and review of submittals and other project documents for compliance with contract documents.
• Record and report key construction/commercial metrics, including internal schedule, cost and budget reporting and forecasting.
• Lead on analysis and resolution of claims and major variations.
• Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center, work collaboratively to mentor, support and develop more junior team members.
