Metric DCX is seeking a Construction Manager to lead hyperscale data centre projects across EMEA from Milan. You will oversee day-to-day construction activities, manage contractors and consultants, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The role requires 7+ years of experience delivering hyperscale or mission-critical projects, with strong stakeholder management and a track record of successful handover.

We are supporting a leading global data centre developer in the appointment of a Construction Manager to deliver hyperscale data centre projects across EMEA. Working closely with the Construction Director, you will oversee day-to-day construction activities, manage contractors and consultants, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of hyperscale data centre construction projects.
• Coordinate General Contractors, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor programme, budget, quality, safety, and project risks.
• Ensure construction activities are delivered in line with design intent, technical specifications, and project milestones.
• Support procurement, contractor management, and change control processes.
• Work closely with Development, Design, Engineering, Commissioning, and Operations teams.
• Maintain project reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
• Support commissioning, testing, and final project handover.

Requirements

• 7+ years' experience delivering hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects, ideally working client-side for a data centre owner, developer, operator, or hyperscaler.
• Proven experience managing General Contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience delivering projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
• Strong understanding of construction management, programme delivery, commercial management, and health & safety.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
