Straightline Consulting Limited in Milan, Italy, is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Project Lead (Electrical or Mechanical) to lead the commissioning of advanced hyperscale data centre projects. You will own commissioning activities from planning to client handover, guiding multidisciplinary teams across complex MEP systems.

Ideal candidates bring proven data centre commissioning experience, strong electrical or mechanical background, and a track record of leading

• Proven Data Centre Commissioning experience (essential).
• Strong Electrical or Mechanical background with MEP project exposure.
• Experience leading commissioning teams on large-scale projects and client-facing.

Straightline Consulting is growing, and we're looking for experienced Electrical and Mechanical Commissioning Project Leads to join our team in Milan.

This isn't just another Senior Commissioning Manager role.

You’ll take ownership of major mission-critical projects, leading teams through every stage of the commissioning process while working alongside some of the industry's biggest clients.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading commissioning activities from planning through to client handover
• Managing multidisciplinary commissioning teams across complex MEP systems
• Driving quality, safety and programme delivery on hyperscale data centre projects
• Developing commissioning plans, method statements and test scripts
• Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders
• Mentoring and developing Commissioning Engineers and future leaders

What we’re looking for:

• Proven Data Centre Commissioning experience (essential)
• Strong Electrical or Mechanical background
• Experience leading commissioning teams on large-scale projects
• MEP project management experience
• Confident client‑facing communicator
• Relevant engineering qualifications and site certifications (CSCS, ECS, Safe Pass or SMSTS)
