Job summary

Arup in Milan is seeking a Senior Site Development Engineer to lead the site infrastructure design, mainly roads and utilities, for technically demanding projects. You will work within multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients to realise design ambitions.

You will also drive digital delivery using BIM tools, supervise construction activities, and contribute to business development while mentoring colleagues. An international, inclusive workplace awaits in Italy.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent is expected.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Site Development Engineer, lead the design and delivery of road and utility site infrastructures for technically demanding projects.
• Act as project lead, managing services and interfacing with the client's teams.
• Liaise with clients from feasibility to completion to define and deliver design ambitions.
• Define site surveys and data collection requirements for design use.
• Develop infrastructure designs through design stages and permitting/procurement.
• Supervise civil construction works as part of the clerk of works team.
• Contribute to business development through client meetings, bid documentation and mentorship.
• Share knowledge across the team to deliver high-quality service.
