Newell Brands is seeking a Senior Buyer for direct materials based in Italy to secure timely, cost-effective supply for Brescia production lines. You will translate requisitions into POs, lead tactical supplier negotiations, and ensure on-time delivery while coordinating with the Sourcing Manager on strategy.

Requirements include a degree in economics/engineering or related, 5 years in an operational buyer role, fluent Italian and at least B2 English, with Excel proficiency; SAP/Ariba is a plus.

Competenze

• Degree in economics, engineering or supply chain, or a technical high-school diploma with procurement experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operational buyer role within an engineering/metalworking industry.
• Native or fluent Italian; English at minimum B2 level.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel); experience with SAP and Ariba is an asset.
• Proactive attitude with strong problem‑solving and coordination skills, comfortable interfacing with production.

Mansioni

• Translate MRP signals and purchase requisitions into consolidated purchase orders.
• Run tactical negotiations with recurring suppliers and support strategic negotiations.
• Ensure on-time delivery and manage material flow to and from subcontractors.
• Implement prompt actions for material-supply issues and resolve non-conformities.
• Coordinate compliance checks with external laboratories for relevant SKUs.
• Support Accounts Payable with three-way-match discrepancies.
