Job summary

RINA is seeking a Building Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Division in Genoa or Catania. You will design electrical systems within Building MEP, contribute to data center electrical design, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize energy efficiency.

The candidate should hold a Master’s in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in building engineering and fluent English.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in building engineering.
Strong capability in designing electrical systems within MEP, including BMS, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
Experience with design of critical electrical infrastructure for data centers (UPS, generators, redundancy).
Familiarity with international and local electrical codes and building regulations.
Effective coordination of multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement electrical and special systems within Building MEP frameworks.
Contribute to electrical design of data centers (power distribution, UPS, grounding, lighting, energy management).
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure full integration of electrical systems in building design.
Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports from concept to construction.
Apply energy efficiency and sustainability approaches in design and operation.
Conduct design reviews and ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
