Job summary

RINA is seeking a Building Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Division in Genoa or Catania. You will design electrical systems within Building MEP, with a focus on data center solutions, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes energy efficiency, sustainability, and innovative design approaches. A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least five years of building engineering experience are required, along with fluent English and strong

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in building engineering.
• Experience designing electrical systems within MEP, including BMS, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and LV systems.
• Data center electrical design experience with UPS, generators, and redundancy.
• Familiarity with international and local electrical codes and building regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems within Building MEP.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of electrical designs.
• Contribute to electrical design of data centers (power, UPS, grounding, lighting).
• Prepare detailed design drawings, technical specs, and reports from concept to construction.
• Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and architectural engineers for full integration.
• Apply energy-efficient design approaches to reduce energy consumption and improve performance.
• Support building physics assessments related to energy use and lighting quality.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
