Job summary

RINA is seeking a Building Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Civil Engineering division in Genoa or Catania. The role focuses on developing electrical designs within Building MEP systems, including data center considerations and energy efficiency initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of building engineering experience, with strong coordination skills and knowledge of electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in building engineering.
• Experience designing electrical systems within MEP, including BMS, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency in designing critical electrical infrastructure for data centers, including UPS and redundancy (TIER).
• Familiarity with international and local electrical codes and building regulations.
• Strong coordination and communication skills for cross-functional teams and client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical and special systems within Building MEP frameworks, coordinating subcontractors.
• Contribute to electrical design of data centers, including power distribution and energy management solutions.
• Stay updated on smart building tech and renewable energy integration for innovative design and operation.
• Prepare design drawings, specifications, and reports from concept to construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure full integration of electrical systems into building design.
• Apply energy efficiency approaches to reduce consumption and improve performance.
• Support building physics assessments related to energy use and indoor conditions.
