Job summary

RINA is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join its Genoa office within the Civil Engineering Division. The role focuses on planning, designing, and maintaining bridge structures, applying engineering principles to ensure safety, functionality and longevity of infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, use SAP2000, LARSA or MIDAS Civil for modeling, and ensure compliance with AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes, and local codes.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in bridge design, analysis, and project management.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, LARSA, or MIDAS Civil for modeling bridges.
• Strong knowledge of bridge design principles and standards.
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes, and local codes.
• Experience with structural assessments and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze bridge structures with attention to load, materials, and environment.
• Model and simulate bridge behavior using engineering software.
• Collaborate with project managers and disciplines to plan bridge projects.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and regulations; update as standards change.
• Inspect existing bridges and recommend repairs or upgrades.
• Coordinate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams.
• Monitor construction to ensure alignment with designs; address issues.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for stakeholders.
