ShopFully, a leading ad-tech platform, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Audience Platform team in Roma. You will own high-throughput backend systems and data pipelines powering 1P/2P/3P audience data, driving design and production excellence.

You will collaborate with ML and data scientists to support AI-infused development, ensure GDPR/CCPA compliance, and scale critical services in a dynamic, global environment.

Competenze

• 5+ years of backend/distributed systems engineering experience, ideally in Go.
• Production experience with Kafka-based event-driven architecture (Confluent Kafka).
• Hands-on experience with Python or Scala, and strong SQL skills.
• Proven track record of owning a production service end-to-end, including on-call rotation.
• Experience with distributed data pipelines at scale and designing/operating gRPC/Protobuf and REST+OpenAPI services.
• Container orchestration & Cloud fluency: AWS and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Active use of AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code) to increase development throughput.
• High autonomy in ambiguity and ability to communicate technical designs clearly to stakeholders.
• Fluent in English with overlap into North American hours.

• Own & Extend the Audience Platform: Architect, build, and scale core backend systems including API and data ingestion infrastructure.
• Drive Integrations & Data Pipelines: Build and maintain high-volume activation platform integrations with major ad tech partners.
• Ensure High Performance & Observability: Design and operate low-latency microservices with modern tech stacks and observability tools.
• Support ML & AI Workstreams: Collaborate with ML/Data teams and integrate AI-assisted development practices.
• Privacy & Compliance: Adhere to GDPR/CCPA and consent management in technical initiatives.
• Technical Leadership: Lead large-scale engineering initiatives aligned with OKRs and revenue goals.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other stakeholders.
