Job summary

World Food Programme in Rome is seeking a Senior Aviation Safety Associate to coordinate end-to-end aviation safety reporting and ensure data integrity across global operations. You will manage the safety data lifecycle, support risk evaluation, and contribute to continuous improvement of safety processes.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with aviation safety frameworks, and effective liaison with field offices and air operators.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation occurrence reporting, safety data analysis, safety assurance, or related aviation safety functions.
• Experience processing, validating, and analysing safety-related data using software reporting systems.
• Knowledge of aviation safety principles, ICAO standards, and occurrence-reporting frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills, including trend analysis and safety performance monitoring.
• Ability to liaise with aviation stakeholders to ensure data integrity and reporting quality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end aviation safety reporting within ECCAIRS to support global safety oversight.
• Maintain integrity, validation, and analytical quality of aviation safety data across regions.
• Administer safety-information repository and ensure documentation control.
• Monitor open safety reports, analyze trends, and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare safety dashboards and updates for safety oversight and risk management.
