Experteer Italy seeks a technically adept Field Applications Engineer to collaborate with global customers and translate Infineon’s automotive microcontroller solutions into cutting-edge designs.

You will guide concepts across the development lifecycle, solve technical challenges, and train field engineers and customers while building lasting partnerships and driving successful deployments.

In this role you partner with key global customers to transform Infineon’s automotive microcontroller solutions into leading-edge designs. You work across the development lifecycle, solving technical challenges and guiding Proof-of-Concepts, while building lasting partnerships. You collaborate with internal experts to connect customer questions with the right teams and train field engineers and customers in your area of expertise. • Hands‑on debugging with customers remotely and on‑site to resolve issues and validate concepts
• Demonstrate technical superiority of Infineon’s automotive microcontrollers in real use cases
• Leverage embedded systems expertise to articulate solution benefits to customers
• Build and maintain quick access to internal experts (Application Engineering, R&D, product, systems)
• Clarify ambiguous technical situations by structuring findings and driving next steps with stakeholders
• Share knowledge within the distributed Application Engineering team and foster a collaborative culture
• Train and enable Field Application Engineers and customers in your technical domain
• 3+ years of experience in automotive Tier 1 or OEM environments
• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Software Engineering, or similar
• Strong hands‑on embedded software development in C (application and low‑level)
• Experience with Infineon AURIX microcontrollers or RISC‑V is a strong plus
• Willingness to travel internationally on short notice (5–10 trips/year)
• Fluency in English
• Confident communicator who builds relationships with customers and stakeholders
