Job summary

Accenture Italia is seeking a Principal AI Infrastructure Architect to lead the design and deployment of large-scale AI/ML compute infrastructure. You will shape technical strategy, oversee complex decisions across compute, networking, storage, and model serving, and drive reference architectures and automation.

You will mentor architects and partner with clients to ensure scalable, cost-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience coding, building, monitoring AI/ML infra
• Strong AI/ML knowledge for infrastructure decisions
• Proven experience on hyperscaler platforms for large-scale deployments
• Proficient in Python, Java, or C++
• Experience with data pipelines and workflow tools (Airflow, Kubeflow)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Leadership of AI projects/teams
• Strong project management and multi-project coordination
• Ability to align cross-functional teams
• Experience evaluating AI technologies and frameworks

Responsibilities

• Set overarching technical vision for compute infra for large-scale AI/ML systems
• Make authoritative architecture decisions across compute, storage, network, and model serving
• Architect and prototype cost-optimized AI compute and distributed training systems
• Define reference architectures and standards; implement tooling and automation
• Lead design reviews; validate findings with real workloads
• Shape AI infra roadmap aligned to long-term goals
• Pilot emerging technologies and assess integration into solutions
• Optimize performance and cost of the compute stack to meet SLAs
• Act as principal authority across hyperscaler cloud platforms
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across hardware, software, and models
• Mentor and grow the architect community; drive cross-functional collaboration
• Provide executive advisory translating infra trade-offs into business outcomes
• Define monitoring, observability, and reliability strategy across InfraOps/MLOps
• Ensure security, compliance, and regulatory alignment of AI infra
• Drive cost-efficiency and measurable business value
