Job summary

msg global solutions in Lombardia is seeking engineers to design and ship reliable AI-enabled agents. You will start from business processes, break them into steps, decide tools and handoffs, and ensure the results are correct in real work.

This is applied engineering rather than research; you will build general-purpose agents, not train foundation models, with a focus on reliability, testing, and measurable improvements in accuracy and latency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building software, including 2+ years on LLM-based systems in production.
• Strong Python and the habits of a working engineer: version control, tests, code reviews.
• Hands-on with at least one agent orchestration framework.
• Experience serving models via managed platforms and provider APIs, including streaming and structured output.
• Production vector search experience with pgvector, Qdrant, Pinecone, or similar.
• Experience with retrieval, RAG, and hybrid search.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Turn business processes into functional agents with clear steps and handoffs.
• Design and build retrieval/passage pipelines including indexing and embedding strategies.
• Treat prompt and context engineering as engineering discipline with versioning and tests.
• Build evaluation layers and CI-regression suites.
• Instrument production systems to monitor quality using traces, latency and cost.
• Own quality end to end and diagnose failures across retrieval, reasoning, or data.
• Choose models and manage trade-offs between quality, cost, and latency.
• Collaborate with business experts to extract domain logic and translate into testable specs.
• Deploy agents into production with platform and infrastructure teams.
