UNESCO ICTP in Trieste seeks an experienced finance professional for a fixed-term (2 years) finance and administration leadership role. You will oversee Accounting & Treasury, IPSAS application, donor reporting, and asset management while coordinating with internal teams and external auditors.

The position requires a decade of finance experience, strong IFRS/IPSAS knowledge, and SAP proficiency. Based in Trieste, it offers a structured environment with reporting obligations and professional

Competenze

• Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in finance, accounting or budget management.
• Expert knowledge of IPSAS and IFRS in international or public sector contexts.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP; experience with financial closure and reconciliations.

Mansioni

• Assist Head of Unit in managing financial resources; oversee Accounting & Treasury, Invoice Control, Travel Teams.
• Interpret policies; provide guidance and training; develop SOPs; monitor processes; prepare dashboards and reports.
• Prepare IPSAS-compliant financial statements; coordinate with External Auditors; provide donor financial reporting and support audits.
• Oversee asset management records, inventories, and verification of work in progress; perform additional activities to ensure team success.
