JUWI AG is seeking a Senior Accountant to be based in Milan or Verona, Italy. You will oversee accounting, statutory reporting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with Italian GAAP, IFRS, and Group requirements.

The role includes managing month-end close, IFRS adjustments, intercompany reconciliations, VAT/Intrastat, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, Procurement and Operations to support the energy transition.

Competenze

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience in international or project-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP and IFRS.

Mansioni

• Oversee full cycle of accounts payable and receivable.
• Post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing with statutory reporting.
• Prepare IFRS adjustments for group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations.

Your contribution to the energy transition

As our Senior Accountant you are responsible for overseeing and executing complex accounting, statutory reporting and financial reporting activities within the Company. Reporting to the Accounting, Tax and Treasury Team Leader, you’ll ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of all bookkeeping and reporting processes in accordance with internal standards, Italian GAAP, IFRS and Group requirements.

The role contributes to the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring alignment between local statutory requirements and Group reporting standards, and acts as a key point of reference for stakeholders.

You can look forward to the following tasks:

Core Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Oversee and manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable.
• Review and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy of general ledger accounts.
• Manage analytical accounting with increased ownership and oversight.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of Financial Statements according to Italian GAAP.
• Ensure correctness and compliance of pay slips accounting.
• Review and validate purchase orders and related administrative documentation

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review IFRS adjustments, reclassifications and reporting entries required for Group consolidation purpose
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information reported to HQ and Group requirements.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports with a high level of accuracy and reliability.
• Manage intercompany reconciliation processes and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Group entities.

Tax & Compliance

• Oversee preparation and submission of fiscal requirements (e.g., VAT, Intrastat).
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and internal accounting policies.

Process Improvements & Team Support

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (HR, Procurement, Operations).
• Perform complex ad-hoc analyses and tasks as required by the Accounting, Tax and Treasury Team Leader.

Your energy is required

• High school diploma / Degree / Master's qualification in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields
• If holding a degree or masters qualification, at least 8 years' experience in accounting roles, preferably within international or project-based environments, reporting to headquarters or group-level finance functions, collaborations with internal departments and external auditors/fiscal advisors.
• If holding a high school diploma, at least 10 years.
