Job summary

IQM selezione s.r.l. in Milan seeks a Senior Accountant to manage the French entities’ accounting. The role reports to the South Europe Accounting Team and requires close collaboration with local advisors and auditors.

You will handle day-to-day accounting, VAT, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting process improvements in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in general and tax accounting.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping and reporting.
• Experience with finance, asset management and payment processes.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, reliability and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in English and Italian, French is a plus.
• Knowledge of French GAAP and local accounting/tax regulations is preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the Group's French entities.
• Oversee AP, AR, sales, purchases and non-trade payables.
• Support cash management, payments and financial reporting.
• Maintain and review financial records, including fixed assets, payroll postings and month-end accruals.
• Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Manage general accounting, VAT returns and statutory tax reporting, in collaboration with local advisors.
• Liaise with external auditors and support the resolution of accounting matters.
• Contribute to process improvements, internal controls and finance projects.
• Operational support in the organization of meetings, events and corporate activities.
