Job summary

Leonardo, a global leader in aerospace, defence and security, seeks a Lead Architect – Security by Design for GCAP HQ with a role including governance, audits, and implementation of Security by Design across programs. The position involves mentoring, collaboration with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.

The role requires a security clearance, knowledge of NIST frameworks, and strong delivery experience across waterfall, agile or hybrid models.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in defence, aerospace, or highly regulated environments
• Security by Design principles and secure architecture frameworks knowledge
• Certification in cybersecurity or security architecture (CISSP/CISM/SABSA) or equivalent
• Experience supporting security compliance processes (IATO/ATO)
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
• Security clearance or eligibility for clearance in defence programs required

Responsibilities

• Define, implement and continuously improve Security by Design across digital solutions and architectures
• Provide expert consultancy to Product Owners and Delivery Managers
• Conduct security audits and assessments to verify adherence to standards
• Ensure security requirements are implemented on time and within scope
• Coordinate security by design activities across internal teams and suppliers
• Support regulatory, quality, and audit requirements related to security compliance etc.
