Kyndryl is seeking a Presales Security Architect in Rome to design and promote Zero Trust security solutions. You will lead security architecture efforts, assess client environments, and guide the project lifecycle from pre‑sales to implementation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IT security, strong knowledge of Zero Trust, IAM, SSE/SASE, and hands-on experience with major NGFW vendors. This role offers a hybrid work model and continuous learning opportunities.

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 5+ years in IT security, with at least 1 year in presales or security‑architecture roles
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH are a plus

The Role

The Presales Security Architect plays a pivotal role in supporting clients and sales teams in the design and promotion of advanced cybersecurity solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Network Security and a strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, IT architectures, SASE and SSE solutions, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and endpoint security.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Zero Trust security strategies for clients
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to promote Zero Trust solutions
• Provide technical consulting and end-to-end support throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct security assessments and identify areas for improvement
• Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies
• Design security architectures based on Zero Trust principles
• Perform security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements
• Deliver strategic guidance on leading security frameworks and best practices
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure solutions align with market needs

Who You Are

Required Technical Skills

Network Security & Zero Trust

• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust architectures, micro-segmentation, and adaptive access principles
• Proven experience in implementing perimeter security strategies and protecting enterprise networks

Security Technologies & Tools

• Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) from leading vendors (e.g. Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point)
• Advanced knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Okta, CyberArk, Microsoft Azure AD
• Experience with endpoint security solutions, including those within the Security Service Edge (SSE) domain

Cloud & Hybrid Security Architectures

• Familiarity with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and SSE architectures
• Experience with leading SASE/SSE solutions (e.g. Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access)
• Solid understanding of cloud security models and hybrid infrastructures

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Strong teamwork mindset and capability to manage complex projects
• Customer-oriented approach with the ability to understand business requirements
• Continuous learning mindset and commitment to certification on emerging technologies

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields (preferred, not mandatory)
• At least 5+ years of experience in IT security, including at least 1 year in presales or security architecture roles
• Relevant certifications are a plus, such as: CISSP, CISM, CEH
• Vendor-specific certifications (e.g. Palo Alto Networks PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNP Security, Check Point CCSA/CCSE) are highly valued
• Certifications in IAM solutions (e.g. Okta Certified Professional, CyberArk Defender, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate) are appreciated
• Experience with cloud security solutions
• Knowledge of Italian and European security regulations
