EFSA is seeking a Scientific Research Assistant to join the Methodology & Scientific Support Unit on an interim basis through Randstad Italia. The role requires strong English proficiency and experience in scientific data management and research.

Assignment: initial 3 months with possibility of extension. Salary: approx. € 2326,00 per month before taxes. Work modalities: hybrid work with two in-office days per week and remote option within 2 hours from Parma, Italy.

We are looking for a Scientific Research Assistant to work in the Methodology & Scientific Support Unit.

Responsabilità

The interim will:

• Coordinate scientific meetings and prepare related documentation;
• Conduct literature searches, evidence review, and data analysis;
• Contribute to the development of scientific guidance and technical reports;
• Support the management of research projects and scientific datasets;
• Collaborate with experts and stakeholders across scientific disciplines;
• Assist in the dissemination and communication of scientific outcomes.

Functie-eisen

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level);
• Previous experience in data analysis (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R) and data interpretation;
• Previous experience in epidemiology, exposure assessment, scientific evidence evaluation;
• Previous experience in literature reviews, systematic screening methodologies and tools like DistillerSR;
• Behavioural competencies: attention to detail, teamwork, focus on stakeholder needs, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work with ambiguity.

Assignment: initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extension. Expected duration of assignment: 12 months.

Salary: approx. € 2326,00 per month before taxes.

Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week.

Remote work is possible within 2 hours from Parma, Italy for the remaining days.
