Vivienne Westwood in Milan is seeking a Mid to Senior RTW Designer to join our Design Team and contribute to the development of our collections.

You will research historical references, explore silhouettes, produce technical flats, and work with pattern cutters to translate concepts into technically resolved garments.

Fluency in English and Italian, a strong portfolio, and a degree in Fashion Design are essential.

• Produce technical flats and CAD drawings.

• Prepare and update tech packs and product specifications.
• Participate in fittings and document changes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Vivienne Westwood is currently looking for a Mid to Senior RTW Designer to join our Design Team and contribute to the development of our collections at our Milan Studio.

Role Overview:

The RTW Designer contributes to the development of seasonal ready-to-wear collections through research, silhouette exploration, and garment development, in line with the House’s distinctive design language. This role requires a strong sensitivity to cut, proportion, and historical reference, combined with the ability to translate creative concepts into technically resolved garments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cooperate with the design team across all stages of RTW collection development;
• Work closely with the Design Director, Artistic Director, Creative Director and in-house Product Development team on design development and execution;

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent;
• Strong portfolio with tailoring, drape, and construction;
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop;
• Knowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Fluent in English and Italian languages.

Preferred Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years' in-house experience in a similar role, working for a fashion brand or luxury company;
• Experience with fittings and toile development;
• CLO 3D knowledge is a plus;
• Strong awareness of sustainable practices and responsible design principles.
