Job summary

Intervieweb is seeking a proactive HSE Manager (Environment & Safety) to lead the Health, Safety and Environmental management systems. You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement, and manage a small HSE team of two specialists.

You will oversee ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 activities, coordinate audits, and liaise with Italian regulatory authorities to maintain accreditation and reporting standards across the company.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Italian environmental and workplace safety laws.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Proven people management and team-leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, implement and audit the integrated Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
• Lead internal audits and coordinate external certification audits.
• Ensure compliance with Italian HSE legislation (D.Lgs. 81/08 and 152/06).
• Update the DVR risk assessment and conduct technical risk assessments.
• Oversee waste management, emissions, discharges, MUD declarations and reporting.
• Define annual HSE training programs and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory authorities and certification bodies.
• Conduct root-cause analyses of incidents and implement corrective actions.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Manager (Environment & Safety) to lead, oversee and continuously improve our Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems. In this role, you will ensure full regulatory compliance, foster a strong culture of Safety and Environmental across the company, and effectively manage a small team. The ideal candidate holds a deep technical knowledge of Italian environmental and workplace safety laws, alongside practical experience in ISO standards implementation and people management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001): Maintain, implement and audit the integrated Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems; lead internal audits and coordinate external certification audits.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Italian HSE legislation (D.Lgs. 81/08 for Health & Safety and D.Lgs. 152/06 for Environmental laws).

Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Update and maintain the Risk Assessment Document (DVR) and carry out technical risk assessments across company operations.

Environmental Management: Oversee waste management, emissions, discharges, MUD declarations, and all environmental reporting requirements.

Training & Culture: Define annual HSE training programs, ensure mandatory training compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture within the organization.

Authority & Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for external regulatory authorities, inspection bodies (ASL, ARPA, Vigili del Fuoco) and certification bodies.

Incident & Incident Investigation: Conduct root-cause analysis for workplace accidents or near-misses and implement effective corrective/preventive actions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Direct Management: Directly manages and supervises a team of 2 HSE specialists.

Responsibilities include setting priorities, delegating tasks, performance monitoring, training support, and day-to-day workload organization within the HSE department.
