Job summary

Center for Advanced Biomaterials for Health Care (CABHC) within IIT in Naples, Italy, seeks a Research Fellow to develop in vitro models of peripheral innervation and barrier tissues. You will join a multicultural, multi-disciplinary team under Prof.

Paolo Netti to advance neural–tissue interfaces and disease-relevant models. The position is a 6-month collaboration fellow with a competitive salary and private health coverage.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or related disciplines.
• Documented experience with mammalian cell culture and advanced 3D in vitro models.
• Familiarity with multicellular, co-culture, or 3D culture systems.
• Knowledge of cellular and morphological characterization techniques, especially histology.
• Experience with barrier tissue models or neuronal cultures is a plus.
• Experience evaluating cellular/tissue responses to biochemical stimuli is highly considered.
• Good command of spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Development and characterization of in vitro models integrating peripheral neuronal components with barrier tissue models.
• Investigation of innervation and functional communication between neural and non-neural tissue compartments.
