Hired is seeking a Strategic Project Lead for PCB & Embedded Design to oversee end-to-end hardware development from concept to production in a remote role.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams across PCB layout, embedded firmware, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing partners, driving schedules, budgets and risk mitigation.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in PCB design and embedded systems, strong leadership, and experience with IPC standards, Altium, KiCad, and Cadence Allegro.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of PCB design and embedded systems development experience, with 3+ years in leadership/management.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence Allegro).
• Experience in embedded firmware (C/C++) and debugging (JTAG/logic analyzers).
• Familiarity with IPC-2221, IPC-A-610, UL certification processes.

• Develop and execute project plans for PCB and embedded system designs, aligning with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Lead collaboration between hardware engineers, firmware developers, and third-party vendors to deliver prototypes within budget.
• Manage PCB layout reviews, signal integrity analysis, and component selection for manufacturability.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for progress, risk mitigation, and quality assurance.
• Present updates to stakeholders and executives to secure approvals and resources.
