Job summary

WorkMotion is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (AI-Focused) to lead test automation strategy across web, API, and backend services. You’ll design robust test suites, mentor juniors, and collaborate with developers, PMs, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, work with AI-assisted testing tools, and apply TDD/BDD approaches while maintaining test data and environments. Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Python skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in QA automation.
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.
• Solid experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or Insomnia.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of version control tools like Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Deep understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Experience in contract testing or TDD/BDD.
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS.

Responsibilities

• Drive test automation strategy across services and platforms.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and backend services.
• Collaborate with developers, PMs, and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor results.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in automation.
• Investigate and reproduce defects with logs and steps.
• Maintain test data, environments, and tools to align with team needs.
• Contribute to quality culture and improve testing processes.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to accelerate QA workflows.
• Apply AI-assisted test generation, debugging, and defect analysis techniques.
• Evaluate and implement AI-driven QA solutions for optimization.
• Use AI platforms like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor in daily work.
