Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on-demand support for global data centers. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, networking gear, and virtualization platforms, working largely independently with remote teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data center operations, hands-on Cisco/Juniper networking, Windows and Linux administration, and a solid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and VLANs.

Competenze

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, focusing on independent or freelance projects.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper networking devices; strong Windows and Linux administration.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and VLANs; virtualization knowledge with VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or CompTIA Linux+ are desirable.

Mansioni

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking gear, and other hardware for optimal uptime.
• Monitor data center operations both remotely and on-site, diagnosing issues to minimize downtime.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking devices to ensure secure, efficient operations.
• Manage Linux and Windows systems, applying updates and security patches.
• Document installations, repairs, and performance; report to remote management teams.
• Implement security protocols and ensure data center compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with remote IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to improve operations.
