Job summary

Outlier is seeking contributors to help train AI agents by providing high-quality feedback and evaluation. This is a freelance, remote opportunity with pay up to $50 USD per hour and weekly payments.

Ideal candidates have at least 2+ years in backend engineering, AI automation, or complex systems integration, and a track record of delivering production-grade software in live environments. You will write eval rubrics, debug traces, and stress-test agent workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in backend engineering, AI automation, or complex systems integration.
• Proven ability to build and maintain production-grade software with modular separation (distinct services for data parsing, logic processing, and reporting).
• Practical experience building for live, non-mocked environments and handling multi-turn system interactions.
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to provide clear, high-density technical feedback on complex system behaviors.
