Job summary

Revolut Italy seeks a Regulatory Legal Counsel to advise on compliance and legal issues around our financial products. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure growth stays compliant and protected.

In this in-house role, you will navigate the Italian regulatory landscape, CCD framework, and supervisory requirements while delivering pragmatic, scalable solutions for a fast-growing fintech.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PQE.
• Excellent academic and law firm credentials.
• Experience advising on financial regulations across Italy.
• Good knowledge of CCD, debt recovery procedures, regulatory/supervisory requirements.
• Sound judgement, calm under pressure and collaborative mindset.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise the business on compliance and legal issues surrounding financial products.
• Draft customer-facing legal documents for these products.
• Help structure and expand credit features while meeting regulatory expectations.

About the role

Revolut’s Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring credit programs to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.

We're looking for a Regulatory Legal Counsel to advise on compliance and legal issues around our financial products.

The breadth of work you'll encounter (and level of commercial involvement) is pretty unique for an in-house role, so you'll have a large degree of responsibility for Revolut’s ongoing development and growth.

What you'll be doing

• Advising the business on compliance and legal issues surrounding structuring of new and existing credit products in payments and banking
• Drafting customer-facing legal documents for these products
• Helping to structure and expand credit features, while managing regulatory expectations, requirements, and applications
• Excelling at leadership while also undertaking executional work
• Handling significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times

What you'll need

• 3+ years of PQE
• Excellent academic and law firm credentials
• Experience advising on financial regulations across Italy
• Good knowledge of Consumer Credit Directive (CCD), debt recovery procedures, regulatory/supervisory requirements, and how they impact the credit business
• Sound judgement, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset
• Confidence making decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete information
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
