Hilti Italia is seeking a Regional Head of Transportation to lead regional transport strategy and performance across Italy and beyond. You will negotiate contracts, optimize the carrier network, and drive improvements in cost and service levels while coordinating with global teams.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in logistics, and fluency in Italian and English. A hybrid work model is offered with a full-time permanent contract, plus benefits.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation or a function involving negotiation.
• Fluent in Italian & English.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, knowledge of the transport market in Italy.
• Experience in management and leadership.

Mansioni

• Manage the portfolio of transportation providers by developing, implementing and monitoring contracts and relationships with providers.
• Negotiate transport-related topics (parcels, pallets, chartering) during RFQ processes.
• Control transport costs with monthly carrier performance reviews and data analysis for improvements.
• Oversee transport budget with critical analyses.
• Drive transport performance and improve SAP data quality with KPIs like MBR Scorecard and OTIF.
• Ensure service levels align with customer expectations and strategy.
• Lead cross-functional and international projects and embed continuous improvement.

Shape the regional transport strategy and make a real customer impact

The Regional Head of Transportation is responsible for managing regional transportation (80% scope in Italy) for Distribution and After Market Service. This includes negotiating contracts as well as analyzing carrier performance to ensure customer satisfaction and transportation KPIs are met.

What You'll Do

• Manage the portfolio of transportation providers by developing, implementing and monitoring contracts as well as relationships with providers.
• Negotiate transport-related topics (parcels, pallets, chartering) in the context of calls for tenders (RFQ).
• Manage costs through monthly performance reviews with carriers and analyze billing data in order to define continuous improvement actions.
• Ensure control of the transport budget by providing relevant and critical analysis.
• Drive transport performance and improve data quality in SAP with KPIs such as MBR Scorecard, Regional TRR, OTIF and CX.
• Ensure service levels are met to align supplier performance with customer expectations and business strategy.
• Lead cross-functional and international projects, deploy strategic projects and implement the best practices.
• Conduct Lean actions of continuous improvement, focused on the quality, costs and service level of carriers.

What You’ll Bring
