Job summary

Camlin is seeking a Mid-Level Firmware Engineer in our Real-Time Applications unit to design, develop, and optimize real-time DSP and microcontroller based solutions. You will work on latency-critical systems and collaborate with hardware engineers to deliver robust embedded software.

The role requires hands-on experience with C/C++, RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr, DSP architectures, and a proactive, data-driven approach. On-site with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in design, simulation, implementation, verification and validation of digital circuits on DSP devices and microcontrollers.
• Proficient in C++ and C languages.
• Knowledge of RTOS like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
• Familiar with DSP architecture (SHARC or equivalent).
• Experience with lab equipment like oscilloscope and logic analyzer.
• Familiar with I2C, SPI, UART, RS485/RS232, Ethernet PHY interfaces.
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time systems with DSP and MCU firmware.
• Ensure real-time performance, latency and throughput targets.
• Lead hardware/software integration efforts.
• Optimize signal processing and embedded system efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews and testing to ensure quality.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues in real-time systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Stay updated with DSP and MCU advancements.
