Hitachi Rail STS S.P.A. in Italy is seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to manage installation design and routing of cables along tracks and in technical rooms.

The role focuses on railway systems technologies, BIM collaboration, and ensuring compliance with contract and local regulations. The candidate should bring 5–10 years in railway installation design, strong CAD/BIM proficiency (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks), and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors and BIM teams.

Competenze

• 5 to 10 years of experience in technologies installation design, preferably within the Railway Engineering context.
• Site surveying activity on installation works or existing infrastructures to gather information to complete installation design.
• Identify, understand and overcome installation challenges during design development.
• Size pathways and raceways considering existing conditions.
• Familiarity with Requirement Traceability Matrix and Interface Registers tools.
• Technical management of subcontractors.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to changes in a project environment.
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks
• Knowledge of Common Data environment tools for BIM processes.
• Previous construction experience will be considered as a plus.

Mansioni

• Identify contract requirements in terms of equipment and cableways installation design and monitor their compliance within the assigned project.
• Design, coordinate and verify the installation design of main railway systems technologies.
• Design, coordinate and verify the cableways layout and routes along track and in technical rooms.
• Cooperate with BIM Manager and BIM Coordinator for BIM model information.
• Prepare and chair clash detection resolution meetings; manage clashes among railway technologies.
• Ensure application of quality procedures for document issuance at design stages.
• Identify critical issues in project development and propose mitigations.
• Represent the installation engineering team and support design choices with the client.
• Proficiently use BIM and CAD software as part of project delivery.
