Il candidato ideale possiede una laurea in ingegneria meccanica o aerospaziale e almeno 5 anni di esperienza in design, sviluppo e validazione meccanica, inclusa gestione di cambi di ingegneria e analisi di tolleranze.

• 5+ anni di esperienza in design meccanico, sviluppo prodotto e validazione.
• Esperienza con validazione componenti e prodotti, valutazione prototipi e qualificazione produzione.
• Esperienza con cambi di ingegneria su materiali/processi produttivi.
• Conoscenze di tolleranze, analisi FMEA e sistemi di change-control.
• Conoscenza di SolidWorks/PDM, FEM e CFD è un plus.

The R&D Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the product design, updating, validation and certification.

The R&D Engineer will report to the R&D Manager and will work as part of an international team, with the following responsibilities:

• Lead engineering activities to support re‑design, updating and certification of industrial components manufactured locally and at multiple global manufacturing locations.
• Drive product improvements pursuing a balance of performance, quality, cost, manufacturability, and reliability requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects according to product release and engineering change processes approved within the organization.
• Lead design and validation, including specification development, prototype evaluation, laboratory testing, and production qualification.
• Liaise with global engineering teams, manufacturing plants and suppliers to align technical development, industrialization and production.
• Identify technical risks, develop mitigation plans, communicate status, trade‑offs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Lead mechanical engineering workflows for product certification according to applicable standards.
• Evaluate alternative materials, manufacturing processes, and design solutions to optimize components design.
• Investigate prototype performance leading testing campaigns.
• Work directly with suppliers of materials and components to guarantee technical compliance along the whole development process.
• Prepare clear technical summaries to support product validation.
• Operate according to the requirements indicated by QHSE management system adopted by the organization.

Requisiti: The successful candidate will have the following characteristics:

• Engineering degree (preferably Mechanical or Aerospace).
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development and validation in an industrial environment.
• Experience with component and product validation, including prototype evaluation, laboratory testing, test-report analysis, and production qualification.
• Experience with engineering changes involving materials and/or manufacturing processes, considering the balance between technical performance, production schedule, cost, quality, and compliance needs.
• Good knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals including tolerance analysis, FMEA/risk assessment, materials selection, and formal change-control systems.
• Experience with injection-molded engineering plastics is strongly preferred.
• Experience with elastomers, brass cast or machined components, stainless steel, coatings, or joining/welding processes is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an international engineering team and to liaise with all departments involved in the manufacturing process.
• Ability to liaise with suppliers of materials and components.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SolidWorks/PDM, FEM, CFD will be a plus.
• Fluent knowledge of Italian and English.
• Availability to travel for business locally and internationally (<10% of time).
