Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. is seeking a motivated engineering student or graduate to join the R&D team in Monselice (PD) for a 6-month internship, potentially supporting a thesis.

The role focuses on power transformer design, tool improvements, and the exploration of new technologies within our Transformer Business Unit. The candidate should hold a degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent), possess solid problem-solving abilities, and have good written and spoken English.

Competenze

• Degree in electrical engineering or recognized equivalent.
• Power transformer technology knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical finite element simulation is a plus.
• Programming experience is a plus.

The opportunity Our R&D engineers and scientists develop breakthrough technologies that change the way the world works, and industries do business. You will contribute and support the team to achieve successful results in Research & Development projects development for our Transformer Business Unit in Monselice (PD). We are seeking a student or a graduate in the field of electrical engineering (or recognized equivalent) to join our R&D team for an internship. The internship, with expected duration of 6 months, can also have the purpose of developing a thesis.

How you'll make an impact

• Support various R&D projects for power transformers design and design review tools improvements and/or for new emerging technologies and solutions.
• Your background Degree in electrical engineering (or recognized equivalent).
• Power transformer technology knowledge will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical finite element simulation is a plus
• Programming experience is considered a plus
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office & Outlook.

• Excellent problem-solving analytical skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic R&D environment
