Atlas Copco Group's Abac Aria Compressa Product Company in Robassomero, Turin Area, Italy, seeks a Design Engineer to drive development of next-generation piston compressor machines. You will design components, create drawings, perform calculations, and validate through testing, collaborating with R&D and project teams to bring innovative technologies from concept to product.

The role requires a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years' experience, CAD skills, BOM management,

Competenze

  • A degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in design and process manufacturing.
  • Strong skills in CAD design, mechanical parts calculation, and BOM management.
  • Eye for detail and hands-on problem solving.
  • Self-motivated team player in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Mansioni

  • Support the entire development process—from component design to machine validation.
  • Create technical drawings, perform calculations, and conduct testing.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team to bring innovative technologies from concept to product.

As a Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in turning ideas into reality, transforming concepts into prototypes and supporting the journey to full-scale industrialization.

If you will join us in this role you will initiate new projects and follow up existing ones, reporting to the R&D Engineering Team Leader and cooperating with the Project Leader and Test Engineer to create an efficient and effective R&D organization.

What will you be responsible for as Design Engineer?

  • The offered salary starts from€33,000 gross per year, with a higher starting point available for candidates bringing relevant experience and expertise
