Ceccato Aria Compressa, part of the Atlas Copco Group, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production methods, material flow and tooling. You will work closely with the Flow Team Leader to define Lean-driven assembly instructions and ensure efficient information flow across operations.

Required: 1-2 years Lean manufacturing experience and a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, plus strong analytical skills, English fluency and aptitude for continuous improvement.

Competenze

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a Lean oriented manufacturing setting is a plus.
  • Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.

Mansioni

  • Define logistics according to Lean concepts and create/update assembly work instructions.
  • Develop and maintain reliable systems to improve operations and information flow.
  • Serve as link between shop floor and Engineers for new product introductions and project meetings.
  • Collaborate on projects linked to continuous improvement, new assembly methods or logistics.
  • Interact with equipment, parts and logistics suppliers; support project teams.
  • Specify and implement new equipment and fixtures and validate protocols.
  • Drive Lean culture, promote 5S and capture/analyze critical process data.

As Manufacturing Engineer your mission is to improve methods, processes, and tooling to optimize production requirements and material flow, apply knowledge of product design, materials and logistics, assembly methods, tooling and production equipment capabilities.

You will report to the Manufacturing Team Leader of the Flow Team

You will:

  • define logistics according to Lean manufacturing concepts, create, update and follow up assembly work instructions, train and support operators, work to maximize throughout, reduce cycle time, identify and solve constraints
  • develop and maintain reliable systems to improve and sustain operations and guarantee an efficient and solid information flow throughout all manufacturing processes
  • provide an important link between shop floor personnel and Engineers, being a key resource for new products introduction projects and production representative on Project Team Meetings.
  • work with individual projects that may be linked to continuous improvement, new way of assembly, logistics or whatever linked with the operations
  • participate in project teams taking part or full responsibility. Close interaction with suppliers of equipment, purchasing, R&D and of course the production flow teams will be the key
  • work with suppliers of parts or equipment or logistic activities on project or activity base
  • specify, evaluate, select, and implement new equipment and fixtures, develop and execute installation, operation, and performance qualification protocols
  • drive a Lean culture of continuous improvement and waste reduction, promote 5s activities to standardize processes, develop effective systems for capturing and analyze critical process data

Experience requirements

1 - 2 years’ experience in a Lean oriented manufacturing setting is considered a plus

Educational requirements

Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or combination of education and equivalent work experience.

Knowledge and personality requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with a scientific method of problem solving
  • Fundamental drive for continuous process improvement
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with common IT tools, including AutoCAD
  • Fluent English.
