PeoItaly is seeking a CSA Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages for a major Data Centre project in the Milan area. You will connect contracts, procurement and financial reporting with site progress to support informed commercial decisions.

The role offers direct on-site employment with the client and exposure to an international team, with opportunities to advance in procurement, cost control and final accounts across a complex data

Competenze

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • Experience with Civil, Structural or Architectural packages.
  • Experience on major construction or technically complex projects.
  • Knowledge of measurement, cost control, procurement and contract administration.
  • Experience reviewing valuations, payment applications, variations, claims and final accounts.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, project information and site-progress data.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Availability to work on-site in the Milan area.

Mansioni

  • Manage the commercial and contractual performance of assigned CSA work packages.
  • Prepare and maintain package budgets, forecasts, cash-flow reports and cost reports.
  • Monitor committed, forecast and actual expenditure against the approved budget.
  • Prepare tender documentation and carry out detailed commercial analyses of subcontractor proposals.
  • Support procurement negotiations and the commercial evaluation and award of CSA subcontracts.
  • Measure and value completed work using drawings, project information and verified site progress.
  • Review subcontractor valuations and payment applications.
  • Manage variations, contractual notices, claims and supporting commercial documentation.
  • Identify and report emerging commercial risks, potential cost exposure and project opportunities.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and support the agreement of final accounts.
  • Maintain complete and accurate commercial, procurement and contractual records.
  • Advise construction, design and project-management teams on the financial impact of technical decisions and changes.

CSA Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre
About the opportunity

PeoItaly, an employment agency authorised by the Italian Ministry of Labour, is conducting this search on behalf of a confidential international general contractor delivering mission-critical Data Centre projects across Europe.

The selected candidate will be employed directly by the client and join the commercial team responsible for a major Data Centre development in the Milan area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CSA Quantity Surveyor who wants to take commercial ownership of complex Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages. The position will connect contracts, procurement and financial reporting with actual site progress, helping the project team make informed commercial decisions throughout delivery.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial and contractual performance of assigned CSA work packages.
  • Prepare and maintain package budgets, forecasts, cash-flow reports and cost reports.

Candidate profile

We are interested in candidates with:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • Previous commercial experience involving Civil, Structural or Architectural work packages.
  • Experience working on major construction or technically complex engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement, cost control, procurement and contract administration.
  • Experience reviewing valuations, payment applications, variations, claims and final accounts.
  • The ability to interpret drawings, project information and site-progress data.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Availability to work on-site in the Milan area.

Previous experience on Data Centre, mission-critical or similarly complex construction projects would be an advantage.
