COOLTECH srl, a company specialized in the production of components and systems for liquid cooling of electrical and electronic devices, is looking for a QUALITY & TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER
Mission:
Enhance the company’s technological competence, with a specific focus on welding processes (Vacuum brazing, Friction Stir Welding and TIG), and support the TQM (Total Quality Manager) in ensuring the compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) with certification standards and market requirements. Drive continuous improvement by managing corrective, preventive, and improvement actions.
The resource reports to the Technical Manager of the LCP BU.
- Technical definition and support in drafting QMS procedures (QLP, IOQ) and managing QMS records.
- Analysis of QMS data.
- Management of customer Non-Conformances (NC) and related communications.
- Supervision of containment actions and closure of dispositions regarding customer NCs.
- Supervision of internal NCs and support to the SQE (Supplier Quality Engineer) for supplier-side NCs (analysis, internal reporting, etc.).
- Proposal of corrective actions, management of related documentation, and follow-up.
- Submission of concession/deviation requests to customers.
- Support to the TQM in managing customers and inspectors during audits.
- Execution of internal audits according to the scheduled program.
- Support to TQM/PRC in defining supplier qualification plans, specifically focusing on technological and quality aspects.
- Definition of inspection strategies and frequencies within LCP, in coordination with Technical Department / Metrology room.
- Welding certification management and supplier incoming inspection
Responsibilities –BU ATS/LCP:
- Managerial and operational ownership of the COOLTECH metallographic analysis laboratory, currently focusing on VB (Vacuum Brazing) and FSW (Friction Stir Welding), as well as potential future developments.
- Ownership of creating and maintaining the technical bibliography (theoretical guidelines and applicability: design for production) regarding CT’s internal welding technologies and outsourced ones (TIG, MIG welding).
- Ownership, in concert with UT (Technical Department) and PRD (Production), for the application and continuous improvement (efficiency and effectiveness) of FSW and VB technologies within the LCP business unit.
- Active participation in the NPI (New Product Introduction) team for the relevant areas of competence.
- Active participation in cross-functional teams engaged in general/system-level improvement actions, supporting the TQM.
- Development of welding technologies beyond current company know-how, including their qualification processes, when required, also at third-party contractors.
- Consulting on quality testing for components and materials to be performed internally and/or at external/internal laboratories.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in technical field (Mechanical Engineering / Materials Engineering).
- 5 to 15 years of experience in similar role, within manufacturing companies and/or multinational contexts.
- Experience in managing technological metal transformation processes, including welding, surface treatments, heat treatments, as well as contamination and corrosion issues;
- Experience in selecting, implementing, and analyzing destructive and non-destructive testing methodologies within the aforementioned fields;
- Proven organizational experience and strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
- Knowledge of industrial organizational systems (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Good working knowledge of English.
What We Offer
- Employment Contract: Contract type to be defined based on the candidate’s experience, in accordance with the Italian National Collective Labor Agreement for the Engineering Industry (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria, 13 monthly salaries).
- Classification & Salary: Job grading and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and overall profile fit relative to the required activities and skills. Target gross annual salary (RAL) ranges between €35.000 and €45.000; Benefits: €5 meal vouchers.
Working Conditions
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
