Job summary

Avio Aero is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Quality team for the Frames & Cases CoE. You will ensure products meet high quality standards and support robust processes aligning with customer requirements and manufacturing practices.

The role involves leading non-conformance investigations, supervising MRB activities, and performing process capability analyses to deliver measurable improvements. Fluency in Italian and English is required, with a valid work visa per regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in Quality or Manufacturing within aerospace
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes such as turning, milling, and drilling
• Familiarity with quality tools such as APPS, 5 Whys, RCCA, and similar methodologies
• Proven ability to engage with customers and internal cross-functional teams
• Fluency in Italian and English
• MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook proficiency
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required

Responsibilities

• Serve as focal point for all quality topics and provide prompt feedback to customer requests
• Manage product and process substantiation activities including FAI
• Support MRB activities and disposition of non-conforming material
• Lead non-conformance investigations and RCCA analyses with cross-functional teams
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet design requirements and perform weekly shop audits
• Support implementation of improvement plans and Process Capability Analysis
• Analyze quality KPIs (FTY, DPU, losses, escapes) and drive improvement
• Promote compliance with Avio Aero, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in investigations of non-compliance and ensure timely corrective actions
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings in daily stakeholder meetings
