Job summary

Vertiv in Bologna, Italy, is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive manufacturing process quality improvements and support the implementation of tools and methods for reliability. You will coordinate quality improvement projects, investigate issues, develop 8D reports, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure PFMEAs, control plans and risk management are in place for new products.

A engineering degree and 1–3 years' experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in an engineering field.
• 1–3 years’ experience in the actual role.
• Good knowledge of quality tools, 8D reports, Six Sigma.
• Quality reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support multiple quality improvement projects across various departmental areas, driving short term and long term, sustainable corrective actions to address product and process issues.
• Investigate reported Quality Issues.
• Develop 8D and Customer reports on reported issues.
• Communicate internally and externally on outcomes of investigations.
• Track shipments of new products, Pareto and report issues and assist in assigning ownership to the problems.
• Support product transfer process and assist with product audit feedback and early field issue reporting.
• Present status updates on various quality initiatives to business management.
• Execute Quality Engineering responsibilities on new product releases, including tracking issues, and ensuring effective resolution.
• Ensure PFMEAs, control plans, and risk management plans are in place for new products.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions through problem solving process.
• Evaluate completed corrective actions and ensure effectiveness of actions.
• Other Duties as assigned

About the role:

The quality Engineer will assist in driving manufacturing process quality improvements and providing direction and support for implementation and continued use of tools and methods utilized in the improvement of process and product reliability.

The anticipated salary range for this role in Bologna, Italy is between 32.000€ and 41.000€ gross per year (based on a full-time working week).
