Job summary

ABB Installation Products Inc. in Italy is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to test and inspect parts, products, and systems from suppliers and internal lines.

You will ensure only compliant items progress to customers, using standard test protocols and established specifications, with the role reporting to the Quality Control Manager. The position is onsite and contributes to ABB's Distribution Solutions in Italy, with responsibilities spanning incoming, in-process, and final inspection

• Familiarity with quality control processes and documentation.
• Ability to support supplier and in-house quality activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct test protocols to ensure parts, products and systems meet requirements.
• Support supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation activities.
• Assist in training on quality processes to promote integrity and results.
• Report quality issues and maintain adherence to the QMS at all stages.
• Communicate findings to the Quality Control Manager and stakeholders.

This position reports to:

Quality Control Manager

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspect and test parts, products, and systems sourced from suppliers and internally produced. Each day, you will ensure that only compliant items are released to the next stage and finally delivered to the customer. You will also showcase your expertise by employing standard test protocols and applying specifications to ensure quality.

The work model for the role is onsite.

This role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions in Italy.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Conducting test protocols, as assigned, to ensure the parts, products, and systems meet specified requirements and customer expectations in incoming, manufacturing, factory test labs, or final inspection quality, as applicable.
• Supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing, and validation, as applicable in the local organization.
• Assisting in specific quality-related training, promoting a passion for quality and integrity in all actions, with a focus on result orientation.
• Reporting quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages.

Minimum annual salary: €29.550,00

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
