Qualifications

  • Technical diploma in mechanical, mechatronics, or industrial engineering.
  • Experience in quality control in industrial, energy, nuclear, or construction sectors.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of inspection plans, hold points and witness points is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NDT is preferred depending on qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect components, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, ITP/MIP and project quality requirements.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections and verify traceability of materials and components.
  • Compile and update inspection reports, records, checklists, and quality documentation; report anomalies and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with technical, production, and quality teams to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Job description

The selected candidate will be assigned to the department responsible for quality control activities on components, materials, and manufacturing processes for major industrial projects in the nuclear sector. The candidate will be responsible for verifying the compliance of manufacturing, assembly, installation, and welding activities with drawings, technical specifications, procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP/MIP), and the quality requirements specified by the project.

They will perform visual, dimensional, and documentary inspections, verifying the correct identification and traceability of materials and components, the conformity of manufacturing processes, and the proper application of procedures and work instructions. Where applicable and depending on their qualifications, they may be responsible for or participate in weld inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, verifying the relevant documentation.

The candidate will be responsible for compiling and updating inspection reports, inspection records, checklists, and quality documentation, ensuring the completeness and proper traceability of the checks performed. The candidate must promptly report any anomalies, deviations, and nonconformities, collaborating with the technical, production, and quality departments to manage them, and verifying, within the scope of their responsibilities, the implementation of the relevant corrective actions.

The candidate will work in accordance with the principles of rigor, independent oversight, quality, and traceability, with particular attention to the specific requirements of the nuclear industry, proper documentation management, and compliance with the control points, hold points, and witness points specified in the project. He or she will collaborate with the technical, production, and construction site teams, as well as with the Quality Manager, to help maintain the required quality and safety standards.

Requirements
  • Technical diploma, preferably in mechanical, mechatronics, or industrial engineering;
  • Previous experience in quality control, preferably in the industrial, energy, nuclear, or construction sectors;
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and project documentation;
  • Knowledge of the main tools and techniques for visual and dimensional inspection;
  • Knowledge of mounting, assembly, and, preferably, welding processes;
  • Knowledge of the principles of quality, traceability, and documentation management;
  • Knowledge of Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP/MIP), hold points, and witness points is preferred;
  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is preferred, depending on qualifications held;
  • Precision and attention to detail;
  • Rigorous and independent approach to performing inspection activities;
  • Good ability to interface with technical, production, quality, and construction site departments;
  • English proficiency at the B2 level.
