Job summary

CargoBeamer is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead on-site execution of railway infrastructure projects in Italy and serve as the company representative on site. You will drive schedules, budgets, and collaboration with contractors, authorities, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.

You will implement BIM methodologies, manage risks, and report progress to management, while building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
• Experience with iTWO and SAP is a plus.
• Fluent Italian with professional English (B2). German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of railway infrastructure projects in Italy, acting as the primary project manager and site representative.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, planners and stakeholders to align objectives and deliverables.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, contractual and technical requirements.
• Monitor and control project performance, including budget, schedule, resources, risks and scope.
• Identify, assess, and resolve project issues and risks with practical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project reporting, updating management on progress and milestones.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders while representing the company.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.
• Implement Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodologies to enhance coordination and visualization.
• Maintain relationships with local authorities and municipalities; assist with land clarifications, permits, and site DD for upcoming locations.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day execution of railway infrastructure projects in Italy, acting as the primary project manager and company representative on site.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, contractual, and technical requirements.
• Monitor and control project performance, including budget, schedule, resources, risks, and scope, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Identify, assess, and resolve project issues and risks, driving practical solutions to maintain project progress.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project reporting, providing regular updates on progress, risks, costs, and key milestones to management.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders while representing the company in a professional manner.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements to support project profitability and operational excellence.
• Implement and utilize Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodologies to enhance project coordination, collaboration, and visualization.
• Maintaining strong and positive relationships with the relevant local authorities and municipalities
• Assistance with land-related clarifications with local authorities and RFI.

Your Background & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project; experience with iTWO and SAP is an advantage.
• Fluent in Italian with professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level); German language skills are an advantage.
