Job summary

CargoBeamer seeks an on-site Project Manager to lead railway infrastructure projects in Italy, serving as the primary company representative on site and driving delivery. You will manage schedules, budgets, and execution plans while coordinating with contractors, authorities, and stakeholders to meet objectives.

Requirements include a degree in Civil Engineering or related field, fluency in Italian, professional English (B2), and understanding of BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in MS Office including MS Project.
• Experience with BIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day execution of railway infrastructure projects in Italy, acting as the primary project manager and company representative on site.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, planners, and stakeholders to align on objectives, scope, schedule and deliverables.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, contractual, and technical requirements.
• Monitor and control project performance, including budget, schedule, resources, risks, and scope; implement corrective actions.
• Identify, assess, and resolve project issues and risks, driving practical solutions to maintain progress.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project reporting with updates on progress, risks, costs, and milestones to management.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders; represent the company professionally.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements to support profitability and efficiency.
• Implement and utilize BIM to enhance coordination, collaboration, and visualization.
• Maintain relationships with local authorities and municipalities.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day execution of railway infrastructure projects in Italy, acting as the primary project manager and company representative on site.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, contractual, and technical requirements.
• Monitor and control project performance, including budget, schedule, resources, risks, and scope, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Identify, assess, and resolve project issues and risks, driving practical solutions to maintain project progress.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project reporting, providing regular updates on progress, risks, costs, and key milestones to management.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders while representing the company in a professional manner.

• Implement and utilize Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodologies to enhance project coordination, collaboration, and visualization.
• Maintaining strong and positive relationships with the relevant local authorities and municipalities
• Assistance with land-related clarifications with local authorities and RFI.
• Assistance with building permit procedure
• Assistance in technical Site DD for upcoming Italian CargoBeamer locations
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project; experience with iTWO and SAP is an advantage.
• Fluent in Italian with professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level); German language skills are an advantage.
