Experts Group International is seeking a Project Manager to lead data centre construction in Milan. You will work within an international, multidisciplinary team handling design through commissioning, with emphasis on MEP coordination and lifecycle oversight.

The role requires strong technical MEP expertise, coordination across internal/external teams, and management of timelines, costs, and quality for large-scale data centre projects.

• Full lifecycle project management from design to handover.

Project Manager – Data Centre Construction | Milan

I'm currently supporting a client, in the design, delivery, and commissioning of mission-critical data centre facilities, in their search for a Project Manager to join their growing Milan operations.

The Role

My client is looking for someone to join an international, multidisciplinary team working on large-scale data centre projects. The role combines strong technical MEP expertise with full project lifecycle management, covering coordination, scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance from design through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical project management
• Analyse and formalise client requirements
• Review and validate technical documentation across MEP disciplines (HVAC, LV/MV electrical systems, fire/security systems, BMS)
• Support clients in technical decision-making and implementation
• Oversee commissioning activities to ensure systems meet design and performance requirements
• Full project lifecycle coordination
• Manage projects across all phases, from design through construction to handover and commissioning
• Coordinate internal and external teams, including contractors, design offices, and operators
• Lead design and coordination meetings
• Monitor project quality, timelines, and costs throughout the lifecycle
• Reporting and quality
• Ensure the quality of deliverables (reports, meeting minutes, technical documentation)
• Improve and standardise reporting processes
• Promote the sharing of best practices across the team
