Falcon Green is seeking a Design Manager for a major data centre project in the Milan area. The role requires a track record of leading design/technical management on large schemes, especially with a developer or main contractor.

M&E experience and a degree in Architecture or Engineering are essential. Responsibilities include coordinating consultants, preparing specifications, managing design through planning to completion, and ensuring buildability and safety standards.

Competenze

• Over five years' experience as a design/technical manager with a developer/main contractor.
• Previous M&E experience is essential.
• Main contracting background.
• Experience delivering data centre projects is advantageous.
• Degree in Architecture or Engineering required.

Mansioni

• Regular meetings with the production team and ensuring all technical issues are addressed immediately.
• Manage and coordinate external consultants.
• Prepare technical specifications.
• Liaise with project team for costing and design works.
• Control the design process from planning to completion.
• Ensure consultants prepare detailed design by Employers' Requirements and Contractors' Proposals.
• Review design development to ensure value engineering and buildability.

I am currently recruiting a Design Manager for a reputable General Contractor to be based on a large scale data centre project in the Milan area, the next project on a large campus that will see work continue for years to come. It is a great time to join the business as they are going through a very healthy growth phase and can offer tremendous career progression opportunities.

In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous however not a necessity. Project delivery ability, proven track record, knowledge of CSA and M&E packages experience is key. You will be working for a market leading contractor that operates a diverse business model and demands modern health and safety and employee engagement practises.

Salary is very much dependant on experience, but there is flexibility for high performers who have successfully delivered large data centre projects in the past. Full oversea rotational package on offer.

• Review design development to allow construction of works to follow safe working practices
