Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Proposal Estimator for the Sesto San Giovanni area to generate budgetary and firm cost estimates for projects and service agreements. You will collaborate with Sales, Solution Advisors and Design Engineers to deliver cost-accurate solutions.

The role requires cross-functional teamwork, strong Excel skills and knowledge of building automation technologies, with a hybrid work arrangement in place.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electronics, mechanical or building automation engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Excel/Word/PowerPoint and basic AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to operate collaboratively and understand digital/cloud technologies.
• Develop macros in Excel to expedite the estimation process.

Position summary:

HBS currently has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator who will be responsible for generating budgetary and firm cost estimates for Projects and/or Service Maintenance Agreements. The candidate will work as a team player in assigned geography, generating solutions and cost estimates. They will act as a resource in support of the sale to address the customer’s technical and application requirements to ultimately provide an accurate cost of the solution. This position will partner with Sales, Solution Advisors and Solution Design Engineers, vendors, customers, consulting engineers, contractors and delivery and support personnel to deliver estimates in a timely manner that are scoped and cost engineered correctly. All estimates will be expected to be within accordance of HBS business objectives and strategies and ultimately deliver customer satisfaction.

You will need to:

• Work with Country sales team and regional proposal and estimation team
• Work with cross functional team (Sales, Operations, Procurement, Finance, etc.)
• Join and lead internal and external calls

Benefits:

Annual gross salary from €38.200 and applicable NCBA is Metalmeccanico Grande Industria. Final salary offer will depend on your experience and qualifications and are also based on objective and gender-neutral criteria.

Your responsibilities:

• Assist sales in securing business by developing accurate, timely and professional estimates, on BMS/HVAC systems and on Security and, possibly, Fire, in terms of scope, material and labor effort on a assigned opportunities.
• Compare the sales information to delivered information and provide guidance on factors to be used for competitive estimating future jobs.
• Support Honeywell efforts to obtain or retain competitive position.
• 100% compliance with all required Health and Safety policies.
• Early engagement with sales team to understand enquiry / RFQ properly to design and design suitable solution.
• Work closely with Operation Teams to agree on cost assessments and anticipate risks and individuates synergies.
• Maintain product knowledge and technical skills to current standards and portfolio.
• Work on alternate solutions for the enquiry (if required)
• Conduct internal technical reviews & assists on Proposal reviews and management approvals review.
• Develop detailed Bill of Materials and risks analysis, when necessary.
• Work closely with Suppliers chain to obtain vendor quotes for all supplies and sub-contracted work. Assist in finding potential strategic partners to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.
• Ensure 100% compliance to set processes & achieve zero non-compliance in all internal & external audits.
• Supports sales professionals, bid managers and customers during the technical requirement definition and solution development sales process steps.
• Utilizes feedback mechanisms to continually update standards to maintain competitive position and reduction of deviation.
• Support in final negotiations and customer meetings.

Must have:

• You are a graduate with bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electronic, mechanic, building automation engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Excel/Word/Power Point and basic knowledge on AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to operate collaboratively
• Understanding of digital/cloud technologies
• Develop macro in excel to expedite the estimation process.
